The only way to get to the light house is on a pulley, you have to sit in a basket and get pulled across. There is a light house keeper. I would love to have his job.

That water looks inviting, Baygirl, nice shot! And I recently saw a 1950s monster movie centered around a lighthouse called "The Monster of Piedras Blancas," had some cool lighthouse scenes. Also a 1950s ghost/horror flick called Tormented has a great climax on a lighthouse too! And Final Analysis with Richard Gere also has a great lighthouse ending. I guess you spurred me to think about movies and lighthouses!--Sir Cranky

Reminds me of pictures of the Arizona desert. I've never seen it in person, looks surreal to me, yet I know the desert and the lighthouse are real. Great pictures.
